New Air Bank Training
Thu. Sep 4th 2008

The new Air/Light 38 is one step closer to being placed in service. Some of the senior members of the fire department met Wednesday evening and Thursday morning with members of the Marcus Hook VFD of PA. These members will serve as train the trainers for the new air bank. Only a few more minor items need to be added to the unit, as well as the other drivers needing to be trained. The new air bank has the capability of filling up to 6 SCBA bottles at one time. The apparatus also has a 33.3 cfm compressor and a 85kw generator. This combination unit is listed as the largest of it's type on the east coast of the nation. The unit will be scheduled to have the new lettering and chevrons placed on within the next two weeks. Keep checking back in for more updates!
